oh em gee kitties!

Cats are not currently ~slightly too young to take home, and in any case I have to go and buy all the various things they will need-- food, litter boxes, etc-- as well as kitten-proof the apartment-- but I should have them within a couple weeks. *quiet freakout* This is going to be so weird! I've never had cats of my own before!

Now just to figure out their names... suitably geeky, of course! (One of them might already be Korra, she's an active little bugger. Not sure on the other one yet. Suggestions??)

Baby kittens! :D

When I am older and settled and ready for pets and responsibility, I'm totally going to get a) a puppy; and b) a kitten that looks like the second one and name it Teal'c. This has been my decision since I was, oh, 15?

Hee! That sounds like an awesome plan.

Hmm, names from Stargate~ that's a thought. Both are girls, so that takes away a lot of the options, but maybe Vala? Cameron? SO HARD TO PICK.

Totally Cameron. Or... Or... What was the nox lady's name? Lya? that's a nice kitten name in usa accent. Or there's Kendra from early seasons too. Cassie?

HOW ARE THESE KITTENS? Did you still get them?

Yes I did! And they are super adorable!! One of them is sitting on my table as we speak, rubbing her face against my arm and trying to get me to pay attention to her. I should really do a picspam...

I just had new housemates move in and they brought a cat with them who is both a) adorable; and b) fond of biting me. Day three and I needed antibiotics. SO I APPROVE OF ADORABLE CAT PICTURES who can't do that to me.

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.
Through the unknown, unremembered gate
When the last of earth left to discover
Is that which was the beginning;
At the source of the longest river
The voice of the hidden waterfall
And the children in the apple-tree
Not known, because not looked for
But heard, half-heard, in the stillness
Between two waves of the sea.
Quick now, here, now, always—
A condition of complete simplicity
(Costing not less than everything)
And all shall be well and
All manner of things shall be well
When the tongues of flame are in-folded
Into the crowned knot of fire
And the fire and the rose are one.
