prompt me!

SGA atlantis postcard
Now that I've got that last post out of the way...

I hate to let 2011 go without any fic from me, so here's what I'm going to do: prompt me! Give me a sentence or two-- any sentence, no matter how silly-- and I will (try to) write you a quick drabble incorporating it. (An idea of what I mean can be found here, although I'm not doing the drabble tree thing, obviously.)

Fandoms I'll take are: Homestuck, SG1, SGA, Young Avengers, Ronin Warriors, NCIS, One Piece, Invisible Man, D&D Cartoon, Runaways, Dresden Files, Vorkosigan Saga, A:tLA, and anything else I've written for in the past.

Lurkers are welcome as well! Because this is me, I can't guarantee that I'll fill every prompt, but I will try my best. :)

Um, um, um - got it!

The entire SG1 team hits the Stargate trifecta (alternate reality, alternate dimension, time travel) ALL AT ONCE and is really weirded out by it. Or not, I mean, it's not like it's NEW.

Also, there's singing.

Just an FYI that I have not forgotten about your prompt! It's mostly written, but it ended up being a bit longer than I meant, and then life hit me with a 2x4. But it'll be done eventually. :)

Also, looking back, it appears you've written Psych fic. Gosh, I like Psych!

*cracks knuckles*

Shawn declares the murder was done by a zombie, and it really was. Everybody is annoyed. (Have they done zombies yet? I don't think they've done zombies yet. They don't have to be brainless plaguey undead zombies.)

If Shawn and Gus are a couple, so much the better. Jules deserves better, really.

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.
Through the unknown, unremembered gate
When the last of earth left to discover
Is that which was the beginning;
At the source of the longest river
The voice of the hidden waterfall
And the children in the apple-tree
Not known, because not looked for
But heard, half-heard, in the stillness
Between two waves of the sea.
Quick now, here, now, always—
A condition of complete simplicity
(Costing not less than everything)
And all shall be well and
All manner of things shall be well
When the tongues of flame are in-folded
Into the crowned knot of fire
And the fire and the rose are one.
